BEST OF SHOW - #33 - Jean Banas “Kabuki” “I was drawn to the energy of this piece, the complex layering of marks and colors that shows clear evidence of the action of the artist’s hand. I also enjoyed the use of the complementary color scheme with the oranges and yellows contrasting with the purples. A powerful piece that offers possible interpretations yet leaves something for the viewer to imagine.”

FIRST PLACE - #5 - Peg Williams “Fractured” “The artist has used keen skills of observation to present an interpretation of nature as abstraction. The lines of the rocks are skillfully arranged to lead the viewer throughout the piece. The work exists on multiple levels that keep the viewer engaged.”

SECOND PLACE - #7 - Mindy Colton “Traveler” “An intriguing use of a variety of materials combined to form the appealing and graceful form of the horse, brought to another level with the addition of the maps.”

THIRD PLACE - #61 - Linda Knight “Cutting It Close” “The overall feel of this assemblage is one of abstraction; various materials have been integrated to form a story, open to interpretation. As the viewer continues to explore the piece, he/she discovers new elements and new meaning.”
