Hobbyist or above, I’ll work with you. Everyone learns differently.

Have you ever wanted to paint realistic portraits? Let me teach you how. We will work in oils to develop a technique that works for you based on my general painting technique. We will work on understanding fundamentals such as colors based on Value, Hue and Chroma which are essential to paint realistically. I will help you develop an understanding of how color works regarding portraits. And, I will help you with the understanding of interpreting photo reference material. With what I teach you, you will be on your way to painting realistic portraits.

Palette - You will need a tempered glass palette (Neutral gray on one side) and a glass scraper. I use Rustoleum enamel to gray one side of my palette.
