“Van Gogh & You” with Sharon DePauw

This is a one-day workshop offered on two different days.

We are excited to present a new concept to our “Cafe Style” small “Expand a Painting” and card workshop based on Van Gogh’s styles and color palettes. Create your mini masterpiece with zest. We will use many mixed media materials and enhance and explore your personal artistic vision with a Van Gogh style. One of the most sought after post-impressionism era styles today.

Friday May 17th & Sat May 18th, 2024 1pm-4pm

“Cold Connection Jewelry” with Mary Wentzel

This is a two-day workshop.

The cold connection jewelry workshop is a great opportunity for artisans to work with metals to create a beautiful piece of jewelry, without the use of a torch.  Participants will receive materials to create (2 ) pendants or (1) pair of earrings. You can use copper, brass and sterling silver along with hand tools to create your unique piece.

“Florida Landscapes and Coastal Scenes in Watercolor” with Alan Shuptrine

This is a one day workshop.

Join Alan in this workshop to learn how to interpret and recreate realistic coastal landscapes in watercolor such as sand dunes, sea grasses, sunsets, etc. Students will study the technique of utiliizing white, the most difficult concept to use within the medium of watercolor. Using different watercolor techniques and methods to create a beach composition, students will also learn how to paint from back to front and how to utilize colors to specifically creating light and shadow. All skill levels welcome!

“Intermediate Photoencaustic” with M. Kathleen Warren

This is a one day workshop.

This class is designed for students who have completed the Introduction to Photoencaustic class or have similar encaustic experience. This class will build on techniques from the Introduction to Photoencaustic class, with emphasis on encaustic methods. We’ll look at other ways to incorporate images into an encaustic piece such as image transfer, tissue paper prints, and gluing a matte photo onto the board.
