“Abstracted Realism”

This is a 4-week class series.

Dates: Monday’s - October 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th, 2025

Monday’s - November 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th, 2025

Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Tuition Fee for 4 weeks with Credit Card:     $182.00 members - $202.00 non-members

Tuition Fee for 4 weeks with Check or Cash:    $175.00 members - $195.00 non-members

Classes are limited to 10 students.

Registration ends September 29, 2025

Payment is required in advance for the 4-week class.

Cancellations must be made at least one week before the first day of class in order to receive a refund.

If you prefer to pay by check, please notify the Art League by email in order for us to hold your spot, and make check payable to Art League of Daytona Beach and mail to 433 S. Class Description

Unlike non-objective art, which is not based on anything you can see, Abstract art does have a basis in something recognizable. The two are often confused , as viewers will often see objects which the artist had no idea of showing. Whether it be a landscape, people or a still life, any subject can be “abstracted’” to bring new light to it.  All materials, except your acrylic paint is included. Please limit your colors to shades of yellow, red and blue and be sure to bring black and white.  This class is geared for someone experienced in painting but would like to see something different in your work.
