Gallery Invitational Policies *

ARTWORK • The Art League reserves the right to refuse any work deemed not suitable. The Art League also reserves the right to use images of any exhibited artwork on our Website, Instagram and Facebook Page, and in current and future publicity materials. • No work may be copied from the work of other artists, including, but not limited to artwork, photographs, books and periodicals, work in the public domain. • All work must be listed with a price or NFS (Not for Sale). The Art League does not take orders for reproductions or commissions. FRAMING AND HANGING SPECIFICATIONS • All 2-D work must be properly framed and securely wired across the entire back of the piece. We recommend braided wire with sufficient strength to support the work, arranged so that the apex of the wire will be approximately 2 inches from the top of the work. • Single-strand wire (on heavy pieces), plastic fishing line, or string are not acceptable. • Sawtooth and snap-in hooks will not work with our hanging system. The wire should be attached approximately 1/3 of the distance from the top of the frame, to avoid having the work tilt forward. • The Art League uses a rail and rod hanging system and may not be able to accommodate extremely heavy works. No work will be hung from the ceilings. No substitute hanging systems will be permitted. • We request that gallery-wrapped canvases have finished edges with no visible staples. INSURANCE • The Art League takes all due precautions for the safety and handling of the work. While utmost care is given to all entries, the Art League of Daytona Beach, INC does not assume liability for damage or loss before, during, or after the exhibition. • Artists agree to waive liability and hold harmless the Art League of Daytona Beach, INC when completing their application form to enter their artwork in exhibitions. • The Artist is fully responsible for any insurance of their work during transit, as well as before, during, and after the exhibition. • The Artist is responsible for delivery and pick-up of their artwork on the designated date and time given. SALES/PAYMENT • Gallery sales will be processed through the Art League. Payment to be made by credit card or check made payable to the Art League of Daytona Beach. The Art League accepts a donation of 30% of the selling price of the work, which helps us offset our facility operating expenses. Artists are responsible for packing and shipping arrangements for any work sent to a customer. • Artist will be notified of sales by phone or email and upon receipt of clearance of payment, will be given a check (less gallery donation) with a sales receipt noting the details of the sale. • All sales are final. Exchanges, modifications, or warranties are between the artist and buyer.

ALODB Gallery Invitational Contract *

The Art League accepts a donation of $400.00 per gallery exhibit. A non-refundable deposit of $200.00, along with the signed signature page of the gallery invitational contract, will be required upon acceptance of your application. The balance of $200.00 is due on or before the day artwork is delivered. ART LEAGUE OF DAYTONA BEACH WILL: Provide Art League staff to check in and hang/install artwork using the Art League's hanging system. Develop and print the program including price list, awards list, and placards. Coordinate activities associated with the reception. Publicize the exhibit on the Art League website, E-newsletter, and social media. EXHIBITOR WILL: One month prior to the exhibit opening, email the Art League a descripition of exhibit or theme including representative images, names, bios, and mediums of participating artists. The AL will use this information in promoting the exhibit. Prior to or on the day the artwork is to be delivered please submit a list of each participating artist with the following information to be printed in the program by the Art League: A numbered list including the title of work, medium and price (or NFS). The back of each artist’s work is to be tagged with the title of work, artist’s name, medium, and price. Any promotional materials are to be approved by the Art League of Daytona Beach. Exhibitors are responsible for their own party favors for the designated opening reception, including drinks, food, and procurement of live music if desired. Openings typically occur on Sunday's from 1-4pm. Exhibitors are required to stay for the duration of their openings. Exhibitor agrees to abide by all rules and policies of the Art League of Daytona Beach, including but not limited to gallery invitational policies (see attached).
