"Dare To Be Creative”

Four different one day sessions are available on Thursday afternoons.
Limited to 25 students
Learn how to unlock your creativity through guided artistic exploration, imaginative expression, and hands-on creative techniques in a welcoming, supportive environment. Perfect for all skill levels - no prior art experience needed.
During these sessions, Denise will introduce creative concepts, give general instructions and lead in the process of tapping into your own thoughts, dreams and meditations to express your imagination. You develop your own image, using supplied drawing or painting mediums on paper. At the end of each session, we will share our work with the group, to encourage one another. We will share our inspiration for the image, talk about out the process we used, and its personal meaning.
"Sumi-e Wild Orchids and Lillies”

Discover a vibrant new way to paint!
Sumi-e means ink Painting in Japanese. This beloved and ancient art form was practiced by Buddhist monks as aform of meditation and continues to grow in popularity world wide, the wild Orchid is one of the Four Gentlemen and represents Spring. Traditional brushes and inks are used to make basic strokes including the Orchid Leaf stroke, Bamboo Leaf stroke, and the Bone Stroke. A Lily and Dragonfly are also included in this lesson.

"Easy Steps To Better Painting”

This is a one-day workshop. Limited to 10 students Studio B
The success of your painting is determined in the first three decisions. Learn to make informed decisions, develop a clear plan and paint with confidence. This workshop is mainly for oil painters, but acrylic painters are welcome as well. We'll learn to work with and manipulate photo references, nail the drawing, establish the values and finish beautifully.
"Celebrate Your Creative Self”

This is a one-day workshop. Limited to 12 students Studio A
We will experiment with a variety of mixed media activities and techniques to help you kick your inner critic to the curb and invite your inner child and creative muse to take over. We will play with a little bit of this, a little bit of that and break some rules to help ignite and recharge our creative spark. This is the perfect workshop for those who are convinced they are not very creative and for the seasoned artist whose work has gotten tight and predictable. No inner critics allowed! Be prepared to get messy!
"Easy Solution To Watercolor Landscapes”

This is a two-day workshop. Limited to 16 students Studio A
Tom’s workshops are based on fun and learning. You will be shown the importance of variety of color-edges and shapes to draw the viewer into your painting. You will learn the easy approach to using brush strokes to create an impressionistic watercolor that only the great masters could accomplish.
"Layers of Design-Watercolor Pouring”

This is a two-day workshop. Limited to 12 students Studio A
Learn to create luminous, expressive watercolor paintings — without ever picking up a brush. In this two-day workshop, we’ll focus on intentional design and careful planning as you explore the art of pouring diluted watercolor directly onto paper. Pouring allows you to achieve rich color transitions, soft blends, and glowing transparent layers that simply aren’t possible with traditional brushwork.
"Colored Pencil Subtraction”

Explore a unique and expressive approach to drawing where subtraction is just as powerful as addition. In this intensive two-day workshop, you will learn how to build up rich layers of pigment and selectively carve away and erase them to reveal luminous highlights, textures, and form.
"Expressive Gelli Printing”

Learn the art of expressive Gelli printing through layered textures, transfers, mark-making, and mixed media techniques. In this hands-on one-day workshop, students will create unique prints while exploring creative tools, personal expression, and artistic experimentation.

Remix Redux is an independent studio group facilitated by Pam Coffman.
This group is perfect for anyone who wants to share their passion for mixed media art, exchange ideas, techniques and information, and learn from each other in a collaborative, supportive environment. Bring your own art projects to work on and your material; experiment with new techniques; get feedback, ideas, inspiration, and support from your fellow artists.
"Cold Connection Jewelry”

Limited to 6 students Studio B
The cold connection jewelry workshop is a great opportunity for artisans to work with metals to create a beautiful piece of jewelry, without the use of a torch. Participants will receive materials to create (2 ) pendants or (1) pair of earrings. You can use copper, brass and sterling silver along with hand tools to create your unique piece.tudents will use paints, pastels, markers, as well as the tools used to mark and cut copper foil, to create a traditional icon or a more contemporary piece.
"The Icon: Symbols In Art”

Limited to 10 students Studio B
Iconography studies the imagery and symbols used by artists to communicate deeper meaning in their artwork. Participants will learn some of the techniques artists have used, over time, to create icons. While in the class students will use paints, pastels, markers, as well as the tools used to mark and cut copper foil, to create a traditional icon or a more contemporary piece.
