This is a 4 week series class.
Learn to paint with watercolor from the ground up in this relaxing 4-week beginner’s course designed to help you master essential techniques, color mixing, washes, texture, and special effects while creating beautiful finished paintings with confidence.

“Composition and Perspective”
with Instructor Ruth Squitieri
This is a 5-week series of classes.
This class will help you with any future painting you want to do. We will explore the basics of creating a painting in your medium.
We will discuss and practice: composition, perspective and color choices. We will explore warm/cool colors and the limited palette. We will extensively and practically explore 1 and 2 point perspective and also touch on 3point perspective. We will discuss and practice how quick thumbnails and notan drawings help you find the best composition to effectively give you a thought-out roadmap for any painting

“Advanced Oil Painting”
with Instructor Trish Beckham
This is a 4-week series of classes.
Learn tools and techniques to paint in a more suggestive style. Gain confidence, learn to leave more to the imagination, and find a more personal style in the process! For intermediate to advanced painters. Students will paint from their own photo reference. Trish will demo her approach to painting in the first class and then as needed. The fourth Wednesday will end with a group discussion.

This a 2-hour class. Learn to do detailed work without training or spending a lot of time, shortcut your start to finish time with new ideas, techniques. Lots of teacher demos, learn new skills and no drawing skills needed.

“Oil Painting for Everyone”

This is a 4-week series of classes.
Students will learn color theory, color mixing, brushwork, and various ways of painting and finding your style using oil. The class will focus on observational painting using various sources. We will touch on anatomy, color theory and techniques in sorting reference material to paint in oil. We will have opportunities for creative expression through step-by-step instruction and individualized guidance.

“Exploring Abstract Art: Acrylic, Mixed Media, & Collage”

This a 4-week series of classes.
The students will learn different ways to start an abstract painting and the various materials that can be used if choosing the mixed media or collage approach. Elements and Principles of Design will be discussed. A demonstration on the various techniques of paper dying and embellishing paper will be given, for those who want to add these elements to their work.

This a 3-hour open studio. A 3- hour studio-style class for returningstained glass students. Bring a small project or pattern (upto 11”x11”) and enjoy dedicated work time with tools and glass provided. Guidance, tips, and troubleshooting available as needed. Specialty or specific glass colors must be supplied by the student.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced printmaker, get inspired by working along with other artists, in this 3 day workshop. All materials will be provided in this workshop.
