Workshop is limited to 20 students.

Explore a unique and expressive approach to drawing where subtraction is just as powerful as addition. In this intensive two-day workshop, you will learn how to build up rich layers of pigment and selectively carve away and erase them to reveal luminous highlights, textures, and form.

Not all supplies are provided , instructor will provide some.

Student will provide:

- Full set of Prismacolor pencils and at least 2 extra black colored pencils

- Battery pencil sharpener

- Assortment of erasers:

- Battery eraser is highly recommended for clean precise lines

- Kneaded eraser: For soft lifting and lightening value

-Pencil style eraser and/or Tombo micro erasers

- Hard eraser for clean larger areas

-Mister clean sponge

- Hard sketch board for an 11x14 substrate or foam board

- Graphite pencils 2H or HB

- Soft brush or makeup brush to remove loose debris from the erasers

Instructor will provide:

-Substrate will be provided 11x14

- Solvent for substrate preparation

- Brushes to apply solvent

- Reference to transfer onto substrate

- Transferring paper
