ABOUT THE CLASS

You create the artwork—now learn how to present it in your own Etsy shop.

Join artist Monique Cohen for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to selling original artwork and art prints on Etsy. Across three weekly sessions, we’ll break the process into manageable steps, with demonstrations, practice time, and individual guidance.

Whether you’re starting fresh or have a shop that needs attention, bring your artwork photos and work toward a storefront that reflects your creative style.

WEEK ONE: YOUR SHOP STARTS HERE

Explore how Etsy works and what you’ll need to get started. Choose possible shop names, prepare a short artist introduction, and plan your shop’s appearance. New sellers will begin the setup process; existing sellers can review and refresh their shop information.

Your weekly project: A shop plan and prepared artist introduction, with shop setup underway.

WEEK TWO: CREATE AN ARTWORK LISTING

Use your own artwork to practice choosing photographs, writing a clear title and description, and entering details such as size and materials. Explore simple search words, listing tags, and pricing considerations.

Your weekly project: One prepared artwork listing, ready for review or publishing when your account is ready.

WEEK THREE: GET READY FOR CUSTOMERS

Explore packaging, shipping information, shop policies, and customer communication. Review your listing, make improvements, and learn how to share your shop link with potential customers.

Your weekly project: A reviewed listing and a practical checklist for your next steps.

BONUS TIPS & TRICKS

Learn simple ways to organize listing photos, avoid common beginner mistakes, reuse a listing as a starting point, and connect your Etsy shop with your social media.

WHAT TO BRING

• A charged laptop and charger.
• A smartphone for account verification.
• Access to your Etsy account and email.
• Clear photographs of one to three artworks or prints.
• Artwork titles, dimensions, materials, and proposed prices.
• A notebook for ideas and reminders.

Basic computer skills are recommended. Please make sure you can access your email and sign into your account before class.

A preparation email will be sent three days before the first session with an account checklist and instructions.

PLEASE NOTE

Tuition covers instruction. Etsy’s applicable setup, listing, selling, and payment-processing fees are separate. Students will enter any required identity, banking, and payment information privately through Etsy.

Shop opening depends on completing Etsy’s requirements and verification. Students can prepare their shop content and listings while setup is in progress.
