“Paper Stash Journaling”

Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Tuition Fee for 3 weeks with Credit Card: $156.00 members - $171.00 non-members

Class limited to 10 students.
All supplies are included in class tuition.

Class Description
In this, three session, workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore the various ways to change ordinary paper into amazing works of art. Explore marbling techniques, Momigami (Japanese kneaded paper) and printing paper with design blocks and Gelli plates. The fabulous paper stash collection you create will be used in a one-of-a-kind Paper Stash Journal that students will personalize with creative notes, stories and poems. This workshop is designed for all skill levels.

Mary Wentzel is a mixed media painter whose work features bold colors and rhythmic detail. The vibrant flora and fauna of the state of Florida is a favorite theme in her work. Mary uses watercolor techniques with ink and acrylic ink to create her intricate pieces. She finishes off each piece with a custom painted upcycled frame.
Mary is a graduate of Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and has enjoyed a long successful career as a museum curator and educator at some of our area’s best art, science and history museums. She has held curator positions at the Museum of Arts and Sciences and the Ormond Memorial Art Museum.
Her paintings have been exhibited around the state and have won many awards. Mary recently has published her second children’s book, “Crazy’s A to Z for Kids”. Her illustrations have been published in books and magazine throughout the country and her work is included in private collections around the world.
