Workshop Description (Limited to 6 students)
This is a one-day workshop for creating beautiful prints using nature’s resources.
Cyanotype printing is an enjoyable method to create prints using sunlight and an iron salt solution. The process is simple and safe, needing mostly your creative spirit. Using plants as subjects, we will produce unique sun-prints with sunlight, a light-sensitive solution and a variety of papers. We will also look at techniques for incorporating color by using wet paper which adds unexpected colors and textures. These prints are beautiful on their own or can be used in future mixed media projects. This workshop is for any level student with or without prior experience.
All materials will be provided.
For questions please contact Janet Bernardini at jlbern@mac.com or you may contact the Art League at 386-947-7103.
